Internet access problems

I have a really annoying problem. I can't get into certain websites on my computer. Usually it's more "controversial" websites like liveleak.com. Also, it's extremely slow when it's trying to stream a video. I can typically only stream one youtube video at a time.

This computer is connected to a router with a cable. My other computer connects wirelessly and doesn't have any of these problems. I scanned for viruses and spyware and found nothing. What could be the cause of this?

It sounds like it could be a malware issue I suggest try scanning with malwarebytes yes it is free. also superantispyware. Also check your hosts file and see if there are any entry's there that may be related. It wouldn't hurt to post a hijackthis log at virtualdr and get an expert to look it over to be sure you are clean. If the problem persists the person who helps you there nay also request a rootkit scan.

Hmm... I tried those spyware programs and they both found nothing.

It seems like the web browsers are also incapable of loading more than one page at once. I get fast downloads when I download a file though. Could it be the router? I'm moving this weekend so when I connect to a new router maybe it'll be better.

So I moved into my friend's place. I installed my wireless network card. After selecting an unsecured network from a plethora of options (don't worry, I'll put my router in soon), I got onto the internet and successfully accessed sites like liveleak.

I have the suspicion that mpilchfamily is right - it's the onboard network card's drivers or something.
