Won an eBay auction for Wave Race for the Gamecube ($17.50, yay)

I had the option of Bidpay ($3) or International MO.

Does anyone know what the cost of an international MO is? Regular MOs are cheap, just wondering about international. How much would it cost to send up there? Does it need insurance/delivery confirmation?

im not sure.

but in canada, domestic is $2.50, and US is $3.50

so thats like 60 cents difference..

It will probably be $2-3 by the time you pay for the MO, envelope and stamp..

Humm, I just figured like .50 for the MO and .37 for the stamp. If it's going to be a couple of bucks I'll just do the BidPay thing.

ANyone else?

I have sent several "MO" to Richmond Canada and the cost is less than a dollar.

I stick a regular stamp (USA) on - haven't had any complaints about it not being enough postage either.

Just go to a United States Postal Office and ask for an International Money Order. Then send it. That's what I've done.

Right, but what are you looking at cost wise? I regular MO is dirt cheap, as is a stamp.

But how do you send something to Canada? Is it still .37? Is the International MO as cheap as a regular MO?

If you belong to a CREDIT UNION or a good bank (Washington Mutual) an international money order should be FREE.

I would be able to tell you the cost but I get everything for free. I can find out tomorrow what banks usually charge and I'll post it here.

Interntational M.O.'s MAY cost more than regular M.O.'s, this is something I'm not to sure of. Call the USPS and ask them.

My local credit union does M.O.'s for free, so you may want to look at that as an option. My corporate bank finds fees for EVERYTHING.

Sending it to canada should only cost 80 cents for an airmail stamp.

Gotta be an International Postal Money Order. So can't be from a bank.

Thanks for the heads up on the .80 stamp, that's a start :)

I can't find what an IMO costs at the post office website.

IIRC: 80 cents.

And I'm pretty sure I have seen an international MO from a bank before.

I got some stuff from Canada.

Go to US Postal, get Money Order ($1 ro 2).
I always send with Priority Mail and if the amound is more than $200 I insure it for another $10 or so.

I work for a corporate bank and I have personally purchased an international money order.

Money orders are NOT exclusive to the USPS whether they be domestic or international.

International Postal Money Orders
This service allows funds to be transferred to individuals or firms overseas. The destination country must have an agreement with the U.S. Postal Service for exchanging postal money orders.

The maximum amount for a single international money order is $700.00, but some countries have a lower maximum amount. Depending on the agreement between the Postal Service and the destination country, the fee for an international postal money order is either $3.25 or $8.50. Consult your local Post Office for additional details.

Domestic postal money order forms are negotiable only in the United States and its possessions. Domestic money orders should not be purchased for use outside the United States and its territorial possessions

Thanks Talon.

Looks like an International Postal Money Order is $3.25 at the minimum. Again, I'm assuming you can't get one at a bank.

Guess I'll go with BidPay.
