So I'm working through a user database we're transferring to a new system, and a requirement has been levied that certain "key fields" must be present, or the account will not be transitioned ... they'll have to re-create the account on the new system.
Among the "key fields" is an address, including city, state/province, zip/postal code.
But many of the international (ie. non-US) accounts I'm looking at don't provide a state or postal code.
I'm showing my ignorance I guess, but are there countries that don't have the equivalent of states or provinces, and postal codes?
I know some of the data is imcomplete ... I have two accounts from Ankara Turkey ... one lists a postal code, the other doesn't. Of course the one that does could be just random numbers thrown into the form
