Which one do you think is better? An internal wireless ethernet card? Or an external wireless ethernet card via USB? Which one will transfer faster? Which one is better in terms of technical reference? Cost is not an issue.

I'm looking into a wireless ethernet card but don't know if I should get PCI or USB.

The only wireless card I have is in my laptop. But, I've heard several people say that external USB gives better reception.

Internal vs. External is not an issue.

The issue is the Antenna.

If the Antenna is stuck behind the computer?s case physically obstructed, and low, the Wireless propagation is bad, and so is the connection.

If the Antenna is High, and minimal obstruction around it, the Wireless connection is much better.

External USB is constructed from a Module with the Antenna on it. This unit is attached via USB cable to the back of the computer. Most USB module use A/B USB cable, so you can use the cable that came with the Wireless USB Card, or longer standard cable to position the Antenna optimally.
