Internal USB

I have a case that came with 'on case' usb (what is this properly called?), but the cables it came with that plug into the case are designed to run out the case and plug into the normal usb ports. this is rediculous. i bought some connectors that have Black Black Green White Red wires, and when i plug them in, windows finds them as new ports, but nothing on them works.

it also seems odd that i have 9 pins laid out like this:

where am i supposed to plug these connectors? and which pin is missing?

it has also been recommended that i might need to change the order of the wires on the connector. I am using an IWill XP 333 motherboard if anyone knows which order they should be in.

That would be an internal hub for USB. I believe it needs power to properly work like usual hubs do. The cables might not be compatible with your mobo but a slight mod to your cables might work. Look at your mobo manual and check to see what colors and layout mean what on your pin allignment for the USB header on your mobo pcb. I'm expecting that the hub is meant for 2 x 2 USB ports so you should probably have 2 sets of wires running into the hub(since mobo headers usually support 2 USB devices each ie. 2 headers x 2 USB = 4 USB, or some boards may only support 4 USB total now, so you would have 1 header x 2 USB + 2 USB(on back of case)).

I am not familiar with the IWill board but I would check your mobo manual for the pin allignment for the USB header and then contact IWill if you need further assistance, or send a message out in the Motherboard forum specifically about your IWill mobo.
