Internal Stack overflow

hey people,

i just build my new rig a couple of weeks ago, here are the specs:
- P4 3.0c
-ASUS P4C800
-ASUS 9600XT
-Maxtor 160GB SATA
-Aopen Chameleon 16x dvd
-NEC 2510-a DVD-RW
-Antec SLK3700AMB case with 350W smartpower PSU.

when i installed everything, downloaded servicepacks and updates for all software, i installed ghost 2003 to make a ghost image.

everything went well up to the point were you do a restart to start making the image. after the menu where you select either Boot or go to ghost, the system would freeze and give an ïnternal stack overflow" message, regardless of the choice i made.

eventually, it was impossible for me to get back into windows any way, so i had to fdisk, reformat and reinstall 🙁

i searched the web, and there seem to be some other people who have experienced the same..

look at this thread

i really want to make a ghost image for security reasons, but i'm afraid to try, i don't want to skeep on reformating and reinstalling...

anybody got an idea what might be the issue here?

thanks!

yeah, just tried it. it says nothing on internal stack overflows, but it recommends to upgrade to 9.0 if you use SATA drives. sigh.. will have to do that then..
