Internal IMing app for the office

I'm looking for some kind of IMing app for internal use in the office.

Needs:
- Windows based
- Easy to use
- Secure
- File transfering
- Chatrooms
- Integration with Active Directory
- Free, or not too expensive

I heard Jabber might be good for this, does anyone else have any other suggestions or good versions of Jabber to use?

We're piloting Microsoft Office Communicator with Live Communications Server 2005 here. I'm not sure how much it costs though.

Trillian Pro has a Rendezvous plugin that allows you to make an IM service w/o a server. All LAN computers can talk to each other. It also has a Jabber plugin. I am not 100% sure about Active Directory integration.
