Internal battery fallen out of camera

My girlfriend has a Canon SX 110 that was dropped about 2 months back. All appeared well until we realized that the date kept getting set back to 1/1/1980 every time the camera was turned on. Further inspection revealed that there was a small hole where I suspect the internal battery module had been. Anything I can do? The camera only had a 1 year warranty and was purchased in mid 2009, so warranty repair is out of the question.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU. I had no idea those kinds of model specific replacement parts were readily available. Guess I hadn't been googling the right thing. Looks like the battery is something I can pick up at a department store too.
