Intermittent pauses with Geforce 3 Ti200 128ddr - is this caused by the card?

Hi, I'm running a p4 1.6a overclocked to 2133 mhz with 512 megs of ram, and I have a Chaintech GeforceIII special edition with 128 megs of ram. This setup works beautifully for me until I run any of my games, from Unreal Gold to Deus Ex to Quake 3 - then it causes these weird intermittent pauses, exactly like lag. I was just wondering if anyone has any clue what is going wrong here, my settings aren't too high because i'm getting beautiful frame rates, it's just these pauses that are killing me.

Thanks for your time

Can you give any more details? Pause as in completely stops drawing frames or just slows way down? I have a Gainward Ti200 128meg card and it doesn't do that. I had a Radeon 8500 which did that in Serious Sam 2 (would slow way down to single digit frame rates) and it was a hardware bug which they've never found a workaround for. What Detonator drivers are you using?

What is your agp rate set at? I had this problem when I was running @ 4x it would just pause for a sec then keep going I dropped down to 2x and everthing went fine.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!

Okay - I have a Asus iPanel hooked up to my p4266b and i noticed the freeze frames in my video were in sync with the 8 second refresh rate for my iPanel. SO - I went into the motherboard and disabled the continuous update for the ipanel, and now the problem is solved. Still, whenever I press any buttons on the iPanel, it causes the pause as it draws the info from the Mobo.

Anyway - thank you all for your help!
