intermittent network access

12/13/2018 update:

win 7 system.

device manager tells me that:
Base System Device
Broadcomm USH/ swipe sensor

are both not installed.

going to Dell download center; Dell did scan and found 8 drivers outdated - including a WAN half card; all were updated. But system still connects and then disconnects a few minutes later.

Really driving me crazy - anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

============================================

Both my laptops will go offline from the wireless network; sometimes for 2 to 4 hours.

But I can see my smart phones are connected and able to browse/get emails.

Talked to my cable/internet supplier and they were no help; is it possible a virus got into my system? Scanning with AVG and Malwarebytes.

Any ideas.

thanks
