My connection seems to stop working for about 3 seconds at a time, in even intervals of about 2 minutes. This is evident in gaming, and I've also used a monitoring program to watch my connection as I download a file, and I see that the transfer stops completely for a couple of seconds.

This only happens on this computer, connected WIRELESSLY (setup specified below). This does NOT happen on another computer, connected USING A WIRE to the same router.

The setup is Linksys WRT54GC (note, this is the compact one, not the popular one), and D-Link DWL-G122 USB adapter.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening?

I've seen Dell latitude D600 and D610s with 1350 and 1370 wireless do this. A driver update solves it.

I already had the latest drivers, but I tried to go back to some older drivers, and it's still the same. Also did a firmware update on my router for good measure, but that didn't solve anything either. Are there any firmware updates for the Dlink DWL-G122 adapter? I didn't see any listed on the site.

OMFG I FIXED IT!!! Sorry, just extremely excited because I've been trying to find a solution, not being able to play games properly for about half a year now. Simply had to disable the "wireless zero configuration" service in windows. -_-"
