Intermittent lag

I can't seem to figure out why this game is doing this or how to fix it. I am playing Fallen earth and it seem that every so often the game will lag really bad but this only lasts about a minute, then returns to normal. I have tried lowering all the settings. I have tried multiple locations with different internet speeds and numbers of units sharing the bandwidth. None of this seems to make a difference. I have defragged. I have tried closing memory resident programs (end process). Still no change. SLI on or off makes no difference.
Remember the lag comes and goes. It is not dependent on loading up new areas, or even the number of other Players in my area.

Any new ideas?

Thanks

doesn't seem so as the fan settings do not effect the frequency. and it gets back to normal after about a minute without a change in fan speeds.

Running latest drivers. The oddest thing is that it seems to occur at the same frequency with max and min settings.

It just seems odd that it comes and goes.

all the posts on their forum revolve around server lag issues.

I had some huge issues with fallen earth and anitvirus in the beta. It was the onlt game I found to stutter incredibly badly at some points with the antivirus on. Turn it off to see if it makes a difference for you.

Defrag your drive (again to be sure🙂) and set Windows Indexer to specifically index the Fallen Earth game files.

There was an issue with Fallen Earth in the first month or two whereby the game would inexplicably read one specific file a lot causing terrible lag for many people. This was mainly for town areas but I have to stress that most people suffering in towns also suffered elsewhere with regularity. They apparently patched it several times when I was playing but still suffered to some extent until I performed that basic 'fix'.
