intermittent connectivity issues

I'm using the WRT54GL with the DD-WRT v23 firmware and my ISP is Roadrunner. My connection works perfectly for about 5 minutes and then I will be completely unable to get any sort of connection through for 30 seconds to a minute, although all of the LEDs on my router and modem remain lit, and this pattern keeps repeating. Interestingly, when I power cycle the router, it will go for about 45 minutes to an hour without any connectivity issues, and then the intermittent connection problems begin again. This is using a computer that's connected by wire, so it's not a wireless issue. Also, when I connect my computer directly to the cable modem I have no problems.

Any ideas?
