Intermittent clicking/rattling from CNPS-7700Cu

Have any1 experience this problem with their Zalman?
I checked and everything looks good, no cables in the way or anything

I wonder if I got a bad fan?

sounds like it could be some bad bearings or something, my suggestion is take it back and get it replaced, you don't want it to just completely fail without you knowing.

Don`t jump to conclusions..are you sure its the zalman....
I have never heard of anything like what you are saying happening...
are you sure its fastened on correctly....
does the noise happen all the time?
Can you tuen your computer off and manually turn the fan and get the same noise??

It's very intermittent, but I'm 100% positive it came from 7700Cu.
It would start out fine, with no noise (5V).
Then after a while, it would rattle or click
I stopped the fan and rattle stopped.
Like I said before, no wire or cable was loose or got inside the fan.
and most of the time, the rattle/clicks would dissapear after a while

So far with 12V, I haven't had this problem - but it's kinda loud

I had this problem when i had mine infact i have the exact same problem with my VF700cu for my GTX, its not loud but noticable. I think this may be the same with all of them i guessed this is just the way zalmans fans are.

LOL
I hope my Vf700Cu doesn't start clicking soon :'(

I'll give them a call and see how they respond

Its not so much of a click but more of a very very faint rattle. Maybe your issue is different from mine?
