The Mercedes has to be last here... Porsche 3rd. I like the Audi design but not the sea of crimson red lighting, also love the tachs. BMW has made strides here - love the wheel, love the area near the shifter, but still don't like the look of the plastic-looking paneling on the console (near the DVD/CD player). Some BMW models have minimized this by keeping the area busy, but it is really prominent in something like the 3 series.

Agreed. BMW is a mix of good and bad...but when you drive an Audi...and step back into a BMW...you immediately miss all the small touches that Audi does so well. A lot of our company cars are Mercedes...and to me there is a big difference between their top models (GL, SL, S, etc) and their entry level (C, SLK, etc). Audi's seem to be equally nice across the board (although I've never been in an R8 or A8...so I can't really speak for those).

The only thing with Audi is that the materials don't last forever - both my A4 and A6 has all sorts of squeaks coming from the dash now. It looks like the rubberized plastic gets harder as it ages and then ends up rubbing on things.

Comparing that to the CLK and my brother's e46, those two cars don't have that problem.

Me neither. (Despite the fact I own BMW)

To be fair, we should photoshop the emblem and ask. When it comes to luxury brand, emblem can become so huge factor.

I have to say...that with the new CTS...I think Cadillac deserves a spot on the list of nice interiors. I haven't sat in one yet and checked out all the materials...but from what i hear it is great and I think it looks better than any of the 4 mentioned in this thread.
