My Case is currently running at hotter temps with the case door OPEN than with it closed! Its open because I'm trying out my new Infrared Temp reader! 🙂

actually just becuase you have the case door open verses closed will not have any bearing on the reading of your infared temp reader....say you use the temp reader to check your CPU temp...case open or closed..the CPU will still read the same....
I`m not sure your infared temp reader can read the relative case temperature...
I believe it reads the temp of what you are aiming the temp reader at....

wrong could I be...

After reading what I just posted....you know you can`t get a reading of the case is closed...even if you have an acrylic panel....doh.....I must of had a brain fart..lol

See -- it's like this. A penguin goes into a bar. He asks the bartender "Have you seen my girlfriend?"

And the bartender looks perplexed. Finally, he looks at the penguin, and he says:

"What does she look like?"

No your not wrong, the reason why I know it's hotter is because MBM5 is reporting case temps of 27*C while it's usually in the range of around 20*C.
