I listed up my computer on a local FS/T site yesterday, just to see what kind of bites I'd get.

Among the usual anonymous lowballs, there was an interesting offer.

1989 Ford Probe GT, 200K, blue, 5spd, recently rebuilt engine, excellent body & interior, Clarion audio, needs new muffler & windshield.

Yes, I'm asking for pics. 😀

Actually, no. I've seen at least a half-dozen Probes running over 340K on the stock engine. A fresh rebuild should be good to at least that point.

And even if insurance is too pricey, I'll just chop-shop it. The audio alone would probably cover things, then there's the engine (2.2L) and other bits. Sell the spoiler to a riceboy, and I'm in the money. 😀

Yeah, I hate Fords too, but the Probe was a good car. It was supposed to be the next Mustang, until the enthusiasts said "Wait, you're taking two cylinders out of it?" The 50,000 letters to the president addressed "Dear Asshole" sorta changed their minds. 😀

Oh, and Ford can make a decent truck too. Nothing compared to a Ram though.

sort of like saying in I make 50k a year, I just wanted clarification, oh well...

I've never, ever in my life heard "K" referring to miles. Money, sure. If it's miles, hell, even in Canada, we say "xxx miles" 😛
