Interesting Religious Texts

I just read "Under The Banner Of Heaven"
an interesting book on mormons, and polygamists and more
im currenty reading "The Da Vinci Code"
but im not sure what to read after that.
Id prefer more fact then fiction, and i dont care what religion
be it, vodoo, satanism, baptists, i dont care. So throw out some ideas

might as well read Angels & demons, the book that comes before DaVinci Code.

i found A&D to be a MUCH better book than DaVinci.

"Jesus among other Gods" - Ravi Zacharias
"The New Evidence that demands a Verdict" - Josh McDowell

Btw, I wouldn't call "The Da Vinci Code" a religious text. It's mostly just a story with some facts thrown in.

Well, depending on what type of religious text your looking for, but I just took a class called "Saints and Sexuality." We read some interesting stuff like "Body and Society" by Peter Brown, "The Invention of Sodomy in Christian Theology," some texts by Teresa of Avalia, and St. Bernard of Clearvoux. There were some of the text but I don't remember them off the top of my head.

Actually was mentioned briefly on Real Time with Bill Maher a few weeks back. Will see if I still have the capture.

Great recommendations

Except the "facts" in DaVinci are nearly ALL wrong... Even according to most secular scholars. It is strictly fiction - how unfortunate that it starts out asserting itself to be fact...

American Gods by Neil Gaiman...
Not exactly 'religous' but has to do with 'gods'...
Very good author...
Also wrote The Sandman, a series of graphic novels published by DC Comics, which is also very good...!!!
