Interesting read about Nigerian email scammers if you have the time

Kinda long and, to me at least, funny. I'll never understand how obviously intelligent people can fall for obvious fraud like these emails. I get them all the time and don't even bother to read them. Is greed so powerful in some people that they loose their common sense?

Without reading, yes. That's why get-rich-quick schemes are ever-successful. And pyramid/ponzi schemes.

The sad part is that there are probably thousands of stories like this out there with smaller losses that never make the news.

Quite impressive those scams can run so long and be so involved. Though I guess that is the mark of a classic con.
