When the crap hit the fan on the hot coffee mod for GTA, I was very quick to state that it would have a larger impact that simply hurting GTA. It stood to affect the entire modding community and what they represent. Just today, I noticed there was a topic about this on gamespy's forums, the most interesting thing about this topic? "Recently the ESRB has been quoted as saying they want all game mods to be banned, on the basis that it completly disregards their ratings system."

When I expected a mud slide effect, I didn't really expect it this soon or of this magnitude. Now I'm willing to bet they will never be able to stop modding even if they really wanted to, but it is interesting none the less.
