For the last year i have been using a linksys BEFSR41 router w/ Att broadband without any problems. Today when my little sister came home from school she was unable to acces the internet from her computer, and i couldnt acces the internet from my parents PC either. However, I can acces the network and the internet from my computer. Again, all 3 computers are hooked up to the router. Anyone have any ideas?

I thought I read something recently about attbi cracking down on people who are using multiple computers on a cable connection? You have to purchase additional IP's from them. Not sure how they would be able to stop your router from assigning ip's internally, though...but I do know that the article said they will cancel you if you are using multiple ip's and not paying extra.

Some IP's use the MAC address of the nic card that the modem was originally hooked up to. I had to use the MAC address clone feature on my Linsys router, set to the MAC of the nic on the computer that the modem was originally connected to before I could get other computers to connect. Also, are you using the router as a DHCP server? If you have static IP's setup now, try using DHCP on the router and see if that helps. That's the only way I can get my daughter's Win98SE box to connect. All my Win2K and XP boxes have no problems with static IP's, but 98 seems to be more finicky.
