Some specs first
Asus A7V133 (1007) bios
Tbird 1.4Ghz
watercooled
785 megs of PC150 ram
Sb Live
GeForce3
Second, to make sure no one asks questions about the common stuff:
My cpu has been tested to run stable at 1650Mhz with the right cooling
My ram can run at 150MHz at 2-2-2
Iv tired a vcore upto 1.85 volts
I have tried a CAS3 setting for my ram
Now the fun part!
Id would like to know why my system will not run stable at a 145Mhz bus or higher under normal watercooling. My system wont even boot at 150Mhz.......However!, if I were to expose the inside on my case to the cold outside air at night (40-30F) my computer will boot up at 150Mhz FSB and load and run Win XP all night without any problems.
First I thought it was my cpu temp was to high, so I tried putting my radiator and pump outside and had my cpu cooled to about 65F under full load however my computer would not boot at 150MHz fsb.
Why is it my computer can boot using 150MHz fsb when my case temp and mb temp are about 50F or lower but it will not boot up at all at 150MHz FSB if my case temp is room temp with my cpu cooled down to 70-65F?
The only thing that I can think of is that its the KT133a chip is to hot at room temp to run at 150Mhz.......
If anyone can some up with a easy way to get running at 150MHz that would be awesome........I want my sandra scores to be 700/700 🙂 not no silly 640/650
