I in turn would have expected more from a small, mediocre performer like the Eclipse. Why the hell does that thing have to weigh 3,500 pounds?

Because they make their frames out of lead? Example: 3000GT. What did that thing weigh? 4000 pounds?

Nonsense. When these cars *routinely* get 40+ miles per gallon, *that* will be cause for celebration. These cars, both, are gas pigs.

Yes, it's an overpriced, overpowered gas hog that serves no legitimate purpose whatsoever. There isn't a highway on this *continent* where you can legally drive that car at it's top speed. It's a pointless WASTE.

I guess opinions differ greatly from one person to another. Personally, I think the 1,000,000,000th software/hardware site out there posting information regurgitated from some other hardware site is a waste, too.

Yes, each and every one of them are *pointless*, overpriced, and more likely than not, gas hogs :)

When we've got an Audubon on which to run these cars at their full speed, then we'll talk.

That's fair enough :) At least you don't have to pay $3 a gallon for those wasteful things, though :)

with an EPA rating of 13/21 the GT isn't much worse than your average full-size SUV in terms of fuel costs. And it's definitely far more rewarding to drive.

Anything is more rewarding to drive than a fullsize SUV...like that needed to be said.
