interesting - Nvidia to make multithreaded ForceWare

I'd imagine programming something like that would be an absolute nightmare to get right.

He noted that NVIDIA's drivers currently do load balancing for vertex processing, offloading some work to the CPU when the GPU is busy. This sort of vertex processing load could be spun off into a separate thread and processed in parallel.
I seem to remember certain nV trolls bashing ATi for allegedly offloading shader loop unrolling onto the CPU.

i dont see why you shouldnt. if you can make it work and it gives extra performance when needed, then off load away.
