I saw this interesting little tidbit over at Viahardware on the front page:
"Many motherboard makers to drop SiS 735
According to the China Times, the SiS 735 chipset may be short lived. The article is in Chinese, however the summary of it is basically this: The SiS 735 chipset does not have very good yields, and is picky to 266 FSB settings and to certain memory modules. It is also known that VIA will soon be releasing an "enhanced" version of their KT266 chipset which will provide for performance equal to or surpassing SiS 735 at a similar cost. Because of these problems and Taiwan motherboard manufactures already established close relationship with VIA, many are postponing or dropping their SiS 735 products altogether. Only ECS continues mass production of this board and Chaintech in smaller quantities."
Rather sad new if this is true. I also have been following the ECS forum over at OCworkbench and quite a few people are reporting problems - fairly normal with new boards I should guess.
OCworkbench forum
I guess time will tell.
