If you delete (or rename) the wnaspi32.dll file in the nero directory, you no longer need administrative privileges to run Nero.

I'm quite pleased, because it means I don't have to give out the admin password if someone else wants to burn.

True, but non-Admin users can't make bootable CDs. There may be other hidden side effects. Besides, that's what "Run As ... (Administrator)" is for.
