Hey guys, so basically my computer wont post. The odd thing is that the night before there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I was able to go into windows and do everything. So I shut down the computer for the night and the next day when I go turn on the comp, the fans spin but nothing shows up on the monitor. Before this happened though I had an error in which it said keyboard not found and please insert drive in A: (which I dont even had a floppy drive). This happened twice and I simply rebooted in which the problem was fixed previously. This time around it just wont post. I tried to reset CMOS, switch the DIMM for the ram, use 1 stick of ram and none worked.

My specs are:
2 gb ram
Abit IP35
E4550
8800 gts
500 gb seagate hd

I havent done any upgrading or tweaking with the computer since I first bought it about 7 months ago. Anyone have any solutions as to why my comp wont post?

Have you tried replacing the CMOS Battery on the Motherboard ? ?

Update: I replaced my 2 sticks of ram with a friend's. That worked. Apparently it was faulty ram that caused the comp to not post and by that I mean nothing would show up on the monitor.
