Most people already know about this offer. I myself tried for it when it was posted all over here a while back. I compiled a list of 1500 prints per month with about 60% color coverage (way over in that regard). They rejected the offer based on the # of prints.
I resubmitted an application about a week or so ago, this time with 2245 prints (oddball # I know, but I was just toying with the thing). With only 15% color coverage. They accepted this offer.
So for those that are questioning getting one of these and trying out the deal (which it is a nice deal IF you can maintain the necessary volumes)
it seems to me there is a magic # somewhere in between these two #'s. And it doesnt' seem to relate to percentage of color coverage either. Considering that 60% coverage on 1500 prints is way more than 2200 prints @ 15% coverage. I myself figured thats how it was initially, so I went with low volume, high coverage work to see if it would fly.
Basically I'm thinking the minimum prints they want per/mo would be around 1800-2000 with X% of color coverage.
Just a friendly insight pointer to those that may have been considering this deal. It might help you to decide before hand whether you'd be eligible for the offer or not. There are of course some contractual agreements, that you have to abide by, but thats for the lawyers to show you, not me, and not here. Here is the URL I do believeFreeColorPrinters. I'm at work and I can't remember if it was with the trailing S or without it. One is a good offer, the other one stinks, check em both to make sure I gave the right URL.
