Interesting IE7/FF/Opera and Shockwave Flash plugin / SQL Server 2005 issue resolved

I started having problems with my IE7 (and other browsers) crashing after installing VS05 (complete install) on Vista (and after putting on all the SP updates).

So I disabled the Flash plugin, no more crashing.
Then I re-enabled it, sure enough browser crash immediately upon entering msn.com or similar.

Leaving it enabled, I uninstalled VS05, no more crashing. Then installed VS08 C# Express with SQL Server 2005, back to crashing.
Uninstalled SQL05, no more crashing.

I found this to be very interesting in the interaction between Flash and SQL2005 on Vista. Any ideas on what the real culprit is?

I'm currently using VS08 Express and waiting on SQL08. I'm a hobbyist so no dire need for this but one of the most peculiar situations I've seen!
