Girl got really sick last night and I was concerned on how to proceed. bad vomitting basically, think it was something she ate.
Anyway her throat was really tight before she got sick so I called the poison control center just in case. Interesting what they said...
1) food poisoning or other ingested type reactions normally occur 1-6 hours after eating
2) DO NOT use any medication to stop the body from doing it's job. with the e-coli stuff going around she said people make it much worse by taking anti-diarrea medicine. All this does is keep the bug in the body so it multiplies.
3) Do not give somebody that is vomitting a lot anything to drink, they'll just puke it up again. ice chips or tablespoons of soda.
So there ya go. Didn't know how to act to food poisoning.
