Ok boys and girls,
I think this might be interesting to you all.

It seems that I used to be having problems with the X2 and gaming. Well I just want to find out if maybe the problem isn't the software or X2 but the OS.

I decided to install XP Pro rather than Home edition after my reformat on my X2 machine. I was having the problem on Home, but have not experienced it on Pro since it was installed, using the same games, same versions, SP2 and all on both...

Can anyone else verify this, or tell me I am full of it?

probably because you reinstalled the Video card driver and had a fresh install??? I was having problems with SP2 Pro so I doubt that its the home/pro difference.

Anyway you look at it, it is a software/OS issue altogther...

I wonder what sh^thole version of the the 6 or 7 versions of Vista will get it right???

Well I suppose we'll have to fork out the arse for the "Ultimate Edition"... 😛

Vista is looking worse and worse each passing day. I might just go to Linux permanently if Vista becomes the de-facto OS.

There better be some very good reasons to get each! I'm going to be really pissed if it's like "version 4 has x,y, & z, version 5 has x,y,v,t, but no z".
