Interesting Doom3 benches

At 640x480 and 1024x768 yeah...but the 6800 Ultra is much more consistant and stretches is legs when upping the resolution to 1280x1024 and 1600x1200...for Doom 3 the 6800 is a much better value...but let us all remember...it's only one game...

Interesting. I think it's a glitch.

They're basically implying that ATi has not implemented all of the features of the X800 cards into their OpenGL driver yet.

I would figure either that, or there's less work to do in rendering on what the Nvidia 6800 series has the upper hand in OpenGL and shadows.

I sure hope ATI finds a way to improve their OpenGL driver with the next release. Not just for X800 but for the R300 cards too. The 4.9 beta driver shows some impressive but very inconsistent improvements.
