In my home office my tower is inside my desk and there is only the cable opening from the back that circulates air. If I keep my desk door closed the computer gets really hot. I was thinking of mounting a fan inside the desk that can act as an 'exhaust' and move out all the hot air. Does anyone have any fan suggestions?

Just cut out the back of the cabinet and keep the door open when using comp - just did this to my buddys desk.

Mine has a full open back but really close to the wall.. only about a 2 degree difference from putting it on top of my desk

Honestly, my mother has the same sort of setup and I ran all the usual tests and orthos to show her how bad of an idea it was to keep her computer in a desk... To my surprise her temps were very passable despite noticeable heat coming from the desk. I wouldnt worry about it unless your overclocking and even then... just check your temps with coretemp and rivatuner, I bet its not as bad as you'd think.
