Very good article that includes the idea of leasing the batteries in electric cars. looks like it may have s stronge possiblity of actually being implemented.

I still drive my truck. Until there is gov't sponsored change there will be no real change. Atleast not rapid change.

If the business model is to give away cars and just charge for the electricity, you will change.

Especially when electricity is much cheaper than gas.

Combine this idea with Nuclear Power plants and we have a winner. I think the hard part is the software.

software and infrastructure are the hard part. getting it all in place, cars and charge/battery exchange stations will be interesting, the best places to start are small, like stated in article, Israel, Denmark and Hawaii. once we see how that works, the larger areas will fall in place. I suspect thou the Continental US will be among the last to get on board. He's looking for 0 taxes on the cars to get the ball rolling.

Yeah, I am just finishing the article now. I think many people view it as one or the other.

Hopefully he can get the infrastructure started. It doesn't have to be everywhere. I would gladly keep my wife's diesel for long trips where it hasn't been implemented and have the car from my daily commute.
