Very cool, if the bench itself were closer to $300 I would get it as I've wanted an adjustable height bench.

Not a bad idea, but also not very practical if you're smart with your money.

You can get an perfectly good power cage for 300-400$, which has adjustable safety racks that save you from crushing yourself. You'll notice in the video, no one dropping it on themself is using a power rack... problem solved for 25% of the money, and you can do infinitely more exercises in a power rack than what they're selling.

Doesn't make sense to pay $600 for the bench alone or $1500 for this system which is only going to help you with 1 exercise.

Save your money and get a power rack/cage. This is bench only exists to sucker the BowFlex crowd out of money.

it must be nice to always "think" you're the smartest person in the room.

$1200+ ?????

My rack was $500 for a good one. And I have a $300 bench.

What is the point here?

A good bench can be had for $300. And my dream rack is $800. That's $1100 for the best of the best. This is $1200? ya .... only fools would buy this. Heck, I can even go get myself a 6x4 horse stall matt for $40 to top it off.

Why people feel the need for gimmicks over correct form and safety is beyond me. If you are lifting heavy then you should be in tune with your body and know your limits. When you exceed those limits, and do not nus the safeties then you deserve what you get.
I am in the gym a lot and see new guys and seasoned lifters pull the safety bars off the cage when doing benches and squats. I have watched people struggle with the bar on their chest because they thought they were to cool for the safety bar. Once I told a guy who was trapped that I needed to wait for another person to come over because I was unwilling to lift the 300 pounds off his chest alone, and that if he would have left the safeties on he wouldn't need to wait for the only other guy in the gym to get out of the shower before he was released. He was none to happy with me but every time after that guess what he used, yep.

This doesn't work well. When you're lifting heavy and failing a rep, you're supposed to be able to stop and lift one foot off the floor, sacrificing your balance, and kick a pedal you can't see?

I'm all for innovation, but there isn't really a problem that this is solving, and it's introducing new risks.

He needs to wrap his damn thumb around the bar. Lifting too heavy without proper support and holding incorrectly. Surprised that guy is still alive.

That said, that is a pretty cool invention, just wish it was more reasonably priced.
