Voters believe war is being won

Times poll shows Britons are resigned to conflict lasting months




A LARGE majority of British and American people think the war in Iraq is going well ? but most are resigned to the conflict lasting for several months.

A Populus poll for The Times, undertaken over the weekend, found that nearly two thirds of Britons think that the war is progressing well, despite reports of stiff Iraqi resistance and a consequent review of military plans.
