1. It's primarily users are the tech-savvy (read: computer geeks).

2. As a general rule, most (but not all) computer geeks are either socially retarded or have major self-esteem issues.

3. People with gigantic social interaction issues tend to have skewed perspectives of how the world should/does work, and often are very opinionated and closed minded. Those with self-esteem issues generally think that in order to have friends they have to impress others by fabricating large parts of their lives, because their "ordinary" lives aren't good enough.

I'm tech savvy, I have friends, I have a girl friend, I don't have self esteem problems, I'm very opened minded (especially with cultures/traditions) and I'm athletic.

I threw that last one in there for good measure. Point is, you're only looking at one aspect. You need to be looking at the environment these people grow up in to accurately dsetermine the casue of their behavior(s).

Even tho I am tech savvy and normal (at least in my opinion hehe)...i noticed that a lot of other tech savvy people are weird and dont' have good social skills.

so point of debate:
does having a gf mean that you're socially awesome? or maybe that you just got lucky?

i know some major a$$holes who have girlfriends and totally don't deserve them, and who i'd say have absolutely no social skills. on the other hand i know some terrific guys who'd make the best partners for long term, have utmost respect for women who don't have a gf...

Probably lucky in my case 😱

I wouldn't say someone's socially awesome, just personally I know people with girlfriends who are not at all socially awesome. Maybe lucky? Or maybe they possesed qualities that the girl was looking for in a guy.
