Interested in joining the AnandTech Seti team

Welcome! 🙂 I'd suggest running the CLI client along with SETI Driver to cache work units. The SETI servers are having problems currently so you can't join the normal way, but this link should work: link

i think the hazing involves a hot tub and some babes 😀

welsome to the TeAm Tsunami1!

hot tub? i knew i just joined for a reason! of course, i was just trying to burn-in my new processor, but i still joined Team Anandtech! i guess i'll keep it as the screensaver.

Welcome clutz123! 🙂 If you still want to run the GUI client, make sure you have it go to blank screen mode in less than 5 minutes! Showing the graphics just about doubles your work unit times. :Q If possible, I'd suggest downloading SETI Driver and the CLI client. 🙂 The links to them are near the top of this thread.

heh, my main windows machine is a P3733 on a BioStar Via Apollo Mobo (Cheap and Stable), 256MB Crucial RAM, 30g/7200 rpm Maxtor HD.

i'm working on my dual celeron (abit bp6) for linux fun, but i need some more parts (esp. a hard drive).

I would guess about 8.5-9.5 hrs/WU on your PIII (using CLi v3.03)
BTW that duallie will add a nice amount of WU's when you get it running🙂
