Are there any sites where good companies browse through resumes? I am interested in posting my resume but I don't want to get spammed from not-so-credible employers/recruiters. Please let me know if you have had any success using certain sites

You must like filth, high taxes, over crowding, corruption, and stupidity. You're going to love the City.

I don't think simply "posting" your resume is going to magically get you a bunch of offers. What do you do? Industry? Have you researched potential employers in the market? Etc.

I assure you, in this economy, whatever it is you do, there is at least 1,000 people out of a job looking to do the exact same thing and are willing to give more effort than just posting a resume to some online hosting site.

Good companies don't browse websites for resumes. They hire internal/external recruiters that have their own database of potential hires and post job openings to collect resumes.

Just posting your resume will only get desperate/new recruiters looking to increase their databases.

You need to be proactive in this environment to find a job, especially in another area of the country.

don't let your premiere lurker rating prevent you from some uninformed trolling.

:)

Don't make assumptions. "Uninformed trolling" presumes a lack of knowledge on the subject. I assure you, I've spent altogether to much time in San Francisco and I know far more about it than I care too.

At this point, I request that you edit your statement to read "informed trolling".

Edit: I'm quite taken by the "premiere lurker" title. Had I actually earned it, I'd request it be made permanent by the mods. Alas, both my join date and post count were fubared in the VB transition, and I simply don't care enough to ask that it be corrected.
