When I was installing my new cpu I couldn't find my tube of AS5 so I ended up scraping the stuff off of Intel's provided HS and then using some TX-1 (from tuniq tower I used to have) to stick that down (Intel's stuff was too dry to spread by itself).
I'm wondering if this combination is going to cause me any problems in the long run.
I've heard that Intel's stuff is the best and also some people say it's horrible.
Not sure which to believe.
Anyways just curious if anyone's tried doing something like this before ( using intel's stuff on a third party HS) and if it's any worse than AS5 or other compound.
Not sure if it makes a differenc, but I scraped it from the fan included with a q9300.
