I would say that my biggest disappointment about RyZen is that it doesn't look good enough to motivate Intel.

I don't know about that... I'm expecting a long overdue price cut on the insanely overpriced Core i7-6950X any day now :)

I don't think we will see one. I think Intel can stand pat until later this year with SL-X/KL-X and Socket 2066. We may see prices come down with those.

It's too bad that wccftech post about price intel cuts was fake news. Newegg and Amazon selling the 7700K for $300 in response to Ryzen would have been sweet.

Based on the ArsTechinca numbers on gaming where the 7700K beats the 1800X I don't see intel needing to drop its price :(
