I picked up an Intel DG45ID for my HTPC setup and it does not support the Q9550 processor. I swapped out the processor with a 9650 and it doesn't work either. However it works fine with a 9450.
When I power on the system with the 9550 or 9650 the board throws me a message that the processor is not supported by the board and that I should check the processor compatibility list for the motherboard. I did this and Q9650 and Q9550 are reported as being supported.
Any ideas? I am very disappointed that Intel's own motherboards cannot support Intel's latest processors! Disgusting! I think I will return the board and go the Nvidia way now. I hear their soon to be launched MCP7x chips are going to be great.
