I am having a problem with Intel's IOMETER. I have 3 servers. All of them are based on SuperMicro's P4DS6 Dual P4 XEON Hyperthreading motherboard. The CPU's are dual P4 XEON 2.4GHz. Two of the servers have 3Ware Escalade 7500 ATA RAID controllers with 4 WD 80GB 8MB cache drives in RAID 10. The otehr server has an Adaptec 2000S Zero channel RAID controller with 4 36.7GB Fujitsu 10,000RPM SCSI drives in RAID 10.

On all three servers, Intel's IOMETER is stalled. It has been 2 hours since any progress was made in the command prompt window. As of right now, all but 5MB of my 12GB C partitions are used up. I have no idea what to do. Do I wait? Is there some way I could run it correctly and fix my situation?

So far, all I did in IOMETER was select the server, select the C-Drive, and click the green flag to run the tests. Have I missed something?

The command prompts on both IDE servers show:
Worker 0 setting targets...
Worker 1 setting targets...
Clearing target list
Worker 2 setting targets...
Clearing target list
worker 3 setting targets...
Clearing target list
Starting...
OpeningB etgairngneitnsg. (This line is on one IDE server, on the other one it says "Opening Bteagrignentisn.g"

The command prompt on the SCSI based server shows:
Reporting VI information
VI library is not installed

Again, these servers have been stuck on these screens for over 2 hours.

Please help if you are able! I am stuck and really do not want to reformat these machines.

Well, it would appear that I screwed up. I didn't know that IOMETER should not be loaded on the drive that it is analyzing. That is what I did. Now I have a 12GB C partition with 5MB free on all 3 PCs. If anyone knows of an alternative to formatting the PCs, please let me know.

I will wait a little while and then reformat.

*sigh*
