Intellimouse program-specific buttons?

I have a MS Intellimouse Optical, and I used to have the side and scroll mouse-buttons setup as keystrokes for certain games. But, after a OS reinstall (and so Intellipoint reinstall) I cant find anywhere to do this? I'm sure the "buttons" tab of Intellipoint used to set the global settings, and there was a button there for program-specific mouse-button bindings. Now though there is just the mouse-button assignments and a "restore defaults" button?

It's possible I'm now using an updated version of Intellipoint, I'm now using 5.0 and can't remember what version I had before, but since I installed these from my backup folder I assumed these are the same as I was using. I cant fathom why they would have taken out this excellent feature either, which IIRC is what convinced me to buy this over a Logitech in the first place? Maybe I had to do something to open that feature that I've since forgotten?

Any Ideas?

NB:
- Device Manager reports the mouse as "Microsoft PS/2 Port Mouse (Intellipoint)"; cant remember what it said for it on previous OS install.

//nvm, installed 4.1 version and seems to work now
