The wheel on my optical intellimouse explorer 3.0 just isn't very good anymore. It feels sticky, and half the time I try to scroll with it, I just end up pressing it down. Anyone know how to ungunk it? Or should I just call Microsoft and have it replaced? I think it's still under warranty.

Had the same problem. They sent me a new one.

Eventually I got around to taking the original apart and cleaning it up. Works great!

Two for the price of one.

I can hardly wait for the second one to gum up! :D

Sorry to dredge this up but...I have the same problem.

Now, I know about that replacement thing because the one that is all gummed up is the replacement I got early this year. So I guess this option is out.

How do you take it apart to clean it?
