Anybody have any problems w/ their intellimouse explorer? Mine will just stop moving sometimes and start moving again after a few seconds. I have it plugged into the USB port and I'm using WinME.

Hey mine does that same exact thing.i thought maybe it was my system acting screwy.

it will stop moving for about 1 sec, then start back up.
and also noticed that when i'm accessing a Floppy Disk,it will stop responding period, till the disk has been read.

Hopefully you can find an answer, for i need the answer also. :)

Bump for ya.

There are known problems with the cords on Intellimouse Explorers, particularly early ones. Microsoft has a lifetime warranty on them, so if you call them they should send you a new one.

Thanks I'll try and see if I can get a replacement then. This mouse was bought just a few months ago but it's worth a shot.

I have had same trouble, usually when doing something like accessing floppy or printing to inkjet. Does it take more system to scan a usb mouse than serial mouse?

At first I thought the mouse wasnt getting enough power from the usb cause I had a lot of other usb peripherals plugged in. But I tried using the usb to ps2 adapter and it froze up even more often.

MS Optical mice have a history of wire breakage that can't be easily repaired. They WILL replace them. Just contact them and give them your info.
