Intellimouse Explorer. Keep losing pointer, then it appears in the bottom right hand corner of the screen!

Anyone getting this problem. I've reinstalled drivers etc but it has not resolved the glitch!!

[Edit] - Would ya believe it. Cleaning the thing actually made a difference. Perhaps all those coffee stains and other food gunk that fell on the work surface was causing the problem. 😀
 
I was going to suggest cleaning it.I have six cats that love the computer desk and occasionally I get rouge hairs all around the mouse .Just one little speck on the lens will make it act loopy.I also had a problem last week with my Intellimouse.I touched the glare screen on the monitor which induced a little static electricity and the mouse went dead.I freaked a little but then I switched usb ports and it worked fine.Weird but true.
