I don't really care if they teach "intelligent design" as long as they mention that complex organisms isn't proof for it and that's it's more of a shot in the dark at the answer. Mention it could be aliens, wizards and Einstein as the possible "intelligent" source.

Now, it's time for me to sit back and watch where this thread goes.

I asked an adamant supporter of ID this question: "If humans are the product of Intelligent Design, why are most of them stupid?"

He was speechless ;)

EDIT - I changed my sig after I remembered the line.

I object to it MORE than I object to Creationism, because it dilutes what science is: OBJECTIVE INQUIRY.

Yep, most supporters will say that there is no evidence against ID. Well, there is no evidence against Mermaids, Leprechauns and the Loch Ness monster either.

Aliens, wizards or Einstein could not possibly be the source for intelligent design. Only the supernatural can. That why intelligent design is just religion dressed in a barrel with suspenders.

Lifeforms on earth are too irreducibly complex to be evolved.

They must have been designed by Aliens.

Who designed the Aliens?

I guess you could anwser other Aliens but eventually you have to end up with a supernatural cause.

So basically ID is just one layer ontop of creation. No IDer should ever be able to say that the source of the design is anyone but a God/Gods because it is completely illogical.

I should be more thankful to live in a civilized state, I guess I tend to take it for granted.

A Utah senator talked about doing the same thing out here in utah just yesterday. They had him on the local NPR station and then took public comments. They never got to my email. :(

That's a good point. A shot in the dark really isn't science. Okay, throw it out with Creationism.
