Intellieye Mouse: Hardware help required!

The intellieye mosue explorere has two "light parts". One is located at the camera and teh otehrone is located at the back of the mouse. The latter one produces a light you can see at teh back of th emouse. My problem is that the bck one does not light up. What does this mean? I took apart th emouse to invetigate and found no physical damage. The cables were find as well. And no, this mouse cannot be returned to Micorsoft. Can any one tell me what the back light means and why does it not turn on?

just fancy looks. u can change the bulb though. just do a search somewhere. I think has something about this.
