intelli mouse help

i think this is my mouse. when i try to unzip something and when i try to type out the dir that im going to unzip it to, the dir part where you can type something just seems to be going crazy and keeps changing by itself. i cant even delete the text inside of the text box to change it so i can unzip the file. i downloaded the newest drivers of ms's site for the intelli explorer, but its getting weird. very weird. if anyone has any experiences like this, or can help me. let me know.

Is it plugged into a USB port? If so, try swapping the USB port or plugging it into your PS/2 port.
